Direct Shipment of Wine

Legal Requirement

All persons purchasing and receiving wine from Fogline Vineyards must be at least 21 years of age. By using this site, you swear and affirm that you are at least 21 years of age and legally allowed to purchase alcohol under your local laws. Fogline vineyards will prosocute to the extent allowed by law if you intentionally or unintentionally misrepresenting your age in order to purchase alcohol. If you don’t agree to these conditions, please do not use our site.

Every state has its own rules regarding direct shipment of wine to consumers. Fogline Vineyards is licensed in many states for direct shipping. In the event that it is not, we may engage a third-party shipper to act on your behalf to ship any wine ordered to you. In this event, you may see a separate charge for the agent acting on your behalf.

In general, Fogline Vineyards ships using either UPS ground or GSO overnight. In the event that you wish to use another carrier of your choice or expedite shipping, separate charges may be passed on to you, the consumer. Once your wine order is picked up by the common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the purchaser.

Shipping of wine during hot summer months and cold winter months is not recommended. We generally notify you of deliveries going out via e-mail and require notification from you if conditions are not suitable for wine delivery.

We realize that occasionally a wine may be flawed or “corked”. Fogline Vineyards will replace any bottle of wine that is damaged, flawed or that the customer finds unsatisfactory. In the event we are unable to replace the wine with the same wine or with an acceptable substitution, we will refund the amount of the purchase. We ask the customer return the unfinished portion of the original bottle for replacement, which will help us determine what the issue was with the bottle to help us ensure we continue to work towards providing a perfect product every time. By law, we cannot accept returns of alcoholic beverages unless the product is corked, or flawed. We are also unable to accept return of wine that was damaged due to adverse weather conditions during shipment, or wine that is ordered in error. Please send an email to contact@foglinevineyards.com to arrange for the return.
